New Movies

I wanted to share a few good movies with you that I have watched in the past few weeks.

The first one I am going to tell you about is a great movie that I watched a few nights ago that is thought provoking, and just a great movie that I would suggest for all of you.

War Horse

War horse is a movie with beautiful scenery but it also betrays the ugliness of war. It's mane character is a horse, named Joey, who brings people from both sides of WWI together.
It is also about a young man whose father buys a horse that is beautiful but is not the right kind of horse to work a farm. The horse later takes on the name Joey. Just when the teenage boy's father is about to take him back to where he bought him from, his son promises to raise the horse to do the unlikely task of  plowing a field. The horse goes on to change many peoples lives and warm their hearts.
It is rated PG-13 and while you did see body's strown about a field in a war scene it did not show any blood or gore.
Unlike most movies today it was a movie that shows truth and teaches good lessons along the way.

The next movie I will tell you about I saw with my dad on a date night last week.

Mirror Mirror

This movie is inspired by the snow white story and is truly just an all around sweet movie.
It is about Princess Snow White whose wicked step mother has kept her locked in a tower since Snow's father died when she was a child. It is snows 18th birthday and she decides she is going to visit her kingdom. She is devastated to find that the Queen has destroyed almost everything. So Snow knows that something must change. Throughout the course of the movie she encounters seven dwarves and a young Prince.
This movie is appropriate for almost all audiences, it did have a kiss and a beast that could be scary to smaller children. It teaches good lessons on the fact that every decision has a consequence.

Here is a list of other movies that I like:
Courageous
Soul Surfer
The Adventures of TinTin
Narnia, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
Narnia, Prince Caspian
Tangled
Finding Neverland
Amazing Grace
Emma

God Bless!
