CHRISTmas

*WARNING THE PARAGRAPH BELOW IS THOUGHT PROVOKING AND MAY CAUSE YOU TO LOOK AT CHRISTMAS WITH A NEW LIGHT.* Just Kidding :) but I do encourage you to read all of it.

  Isn't Christmas great? I just love when everyone gets together to exchange gifts. But, Christmas is so much more than that. Have you ever really looked at the word Christmas? If you break it into two parts what do you get? Think about that for a moment. Christ-mas, now what happened on the first Christmas?

"Well, Jesus was born and some guys with sheep came and some guys in silk robes brought some gold or something like that."  But it is so much more than that.  God of the universe, of everything, sent His son (His only son) to come change us. Us being disobedient, selfish, immature people. I know what your thinking, "I'm not bad am I?".  When was the last time you got mad at a sibling or didn't do what your parents told you to do?  We were born as sinners and if it weren't for God we would be in pretty bad shape.

  Christmas is not just about getting presents or who is going where. It is about God and His son who came to the world to save you and me. We need to share that with others. That is what Christmas is about.
